The cargo throughput of Lianyun Port increased slightly in July. | Sowoll

In July, Lianyun Port completed cargo throughput of 1979.62 million tons , a year-on-year increase of 1.4%, of which the foreign trade throughput was 8.13 million tons, an increase of 18%. Containers completed 387,800 TEUs, down 2% year-on-year. The daily average loading of 1557 vehicles per month increased by 107 vehicles year-on-year, and the average daily unloading of trucks was 395 vehicles, an increase of 153 vehicles. The China-Korea passenger and cargo liners operated a total of 34 voyages, carrying 14,972 passengers and a transport container of 6,302 TEUs.
From January to July, Lianyun Port completed the cargo throughput of 137,754,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%, of which the foreign trade throughput was 68.374 million tons, down 1.3% year-on-year.

The container completed 2.776 million TEUs, an increase of 0.2% year-on-year. The annual average loading of 1802 vehicles per day increased by 240 vehicles year-on-year, and the daily average unloading of 427 cars, an increase of 55 vehicles. The China-Korea passenger and cargo liners are a total of 234 voyages, carrying 79,388 passengers and 49,322 TEUs.

PORT OF OAKLAND CONTINUOUSLY TWICE BREAK RECORD

Maritime observers follow cargo volumes closely in the August-through-October period. That’s considered the traditional peak shipping season.  It’s the time of year when U.S. retailers accelerate import orders for holiday merchandising. The Port reported that import volume increased 5 percent last month over September 2017 totals.
