THE FIRST UNMANNED SHIP BASE WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN ZHUHAI, CHINA
China first unmanned ship R&D base construction was finished on the 8th. And it officially named Xiangshan Marine Technology Port. As a key project in Guangdong Province and Zhuhai City, the total investment of the base is nearly 300 million yuan. They are focusing on the unmanned ship marine equipment industry chain.
The project covers an area of 32,000 square meters. The total construction area of the first phase project is over 50,000 square meters, and the sea area can be used for about 26,000 square meters. Berths are up to 31.
Zhang Yunfei, founder and chairman of Fang Yunzhou Intelligent Technology, said that Xiangshan Marine Technology Port is equipped with indoor laboratory, test pool and offshore testing area. He said: "Depending on the development of this port, we expect to increase the speed of unmanned ship technology accumulation and technical iteration by five to ten times."
It is reported that Xiangshan Marine Science and Technology Port is scheduled to open in the first half of 2019. Nowadays, a number of marine scientific and technological leading professional research institutions, national key laboratories of many universities, and a number of high-tech equipment manufacturing giants have determined or intend to settle in.
