Baroness McIntosh appointed UKWA president

The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced that its new Honorary President is Anne McIntosh - Baroness McIntosh of Pickering.

Baroness McIntosh replaces Ivon Moore-Brabazon - Lord Brabazon of Tara, who recently announced his decision to stand down having served in the role for 26 years.

In a distinguished political career, Baroness McIntosh of Pickering represented the Thirsk and Malton and Vale of York constituencies as a Conservative Member of Parliament and served as an MEP before being awarded a life peerage and taking her place in the House of Lords in 2015.

Baroness McIntosh commented: “This is a very vibrant time for the logistics industry. The world is going through a period of change, which is bringing a unique set of challenges yet extraordinary opportunities to the sector.
