CEVA Logistics commences refinancing to tackle debt

CEVA Logistics has announced the proposed refinancing of the majority of its existing debt facilities with the objective of achieving lower interest rates, longer maturities and enhanced liquidity to pursue its strategy.   CEVA proposes to offer, subject to market conditions and other factors, $400 million in aggregate principal amount of Secured Term Loan B due 2025 (the “New Loan”) in a private offering. It also plans to enter into a new $600 million Senior Revolving Credit and Ancillary Facility due 2023 (the “RCF”) and has received commitments from its new banking group to this extent. An additional offering of debt, including by way of senior secured notes, contemplated in Euro and in an amount of approximately $350 million, might follow at a later stage. Louisville’s transportation and logistics centers link the region to the world

In the last five years, Kentucky has invested billions in Louisville’s transportation infrastructure. That, in turn, is leveraging a flow of more investment.   In 2016, all three of Louisville’s Ohio River project bridges were completed, including the new Abraham Lincoln Bridge across downtown, the new Lewis & Clark Bridge in the city’s East End, and the rehab of the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge. These bridges, combined with a complete redesign of the interstate interchanges at Louisville’s riverfront “spaghetti junction,” cost $2.5 billion.   This vitally important highway system puts Louisville within a one-day drive of some 50 percent of all United States markets.   TARC isn’t the only transportation company in Louisville to be investing in its future. The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced that its new Honorary President is Anne McIntosh - Baroness McIntosh of Pickering. Baroness McIntosh replaces Ivon Moore-Brabazon - Lord Brabazon of Tara, who recently announced his decision to stand down having served in the role for 26 years. In a distinguished political career, Baroness McIntosh of Pickering represented the Thirsk and Malton and Vale of York constituencies as a Conservative Member of Parliament and served as an MEP before being awarded a life peerage and taking her place in the House of Lords in 2015. Singapore-Chongqing logistics hub under Chongqing Connectivity Initiative takes shape

CHONGQING - In about three years, a logistics hub jointly developed by Singapore and Chongqing companies will be up and running, managing operations across road, rail and river in the upper reaches of China's famous Yangtze River. Located beside Guoyuan Port in south-western Chongqing, the hub will facilitate the flow of container cargos transported via the river to the Southern Transport Corridor railway network. The hub, which sits on two land parcels totalling 670,000 sq m, will have warehouses as well as provide services such as packaging and distribution. According to the latest information from sofreight.com, the largest container terminal in South China, Shenzhen Yantian port (YICT) issued a notice that it stop receiving import, export, and transfer of all dangerous goods which except the 9th category! Recently, foreign trade companies and freight forwarding companies should pay more attention to the arrangement of import, export or transfer dangerous goods through Yantian Port in order to avoid delays and additional costs caused by the new regulations!   A number of shipping companies, including Hapag-Lloyd, have also issued notices to all customers and freight forwarders: Suspend import, export and transit of dangerous goods which except the 9th category! Indonesia ferry sinks with 139 passengers leaving 12 dead and throwing cars into sea

At least 12 people are dead after a ferry ran aground and took on water off Indonesia's coast, forcing terrified passengers to leap into the sea and wait for rescue. The dead include a two-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, officials say. Passengers snapped dramatic photos as they clung to railings onboard the sinking vessel which was carrying up to 139 people and didn't have enough life jackets for everyone.
